The mountains near Aspen / Snowmass are beautiful year round, but we operate between May 15th and early October, based on weather and snowpack. During the spring, we will hear birdsong as life returns to the woods and the trees bud green. Summers are long and beautiful, escape the heat of the valley to find the cool high country, where snow lingers year round. In September, the mountains burst with gold, red and orange as the foliage changes colors.
