A Colorado Shiras moose hunt is one of the rarest and most exciting big game opportunities in North America. Permits are extremely limited, and Colorado restricts hunters to a once-in-a-lifetime harvest. Preparation, local knowledge, scouting and execution are critical to success.
Colorado bull and either-sex moose tags are season-choice permits, allowing hunters to pursue trophy moose across archery, muzzleloader, and rifle seasons. Cow tags have more availability but are season-restricted. We will tailor your guided Colorado moose hunt to the dates, weapon, and conditions that best fit your goals.
Based on current scouting and the location of trophy-class mountain moose, hunts are conducted from a combination of established base camps, spike camps, and truck-based camps. Depending on terrain and access, we may use horses, vehicles, or a combination of both to maximize time in productive habitat and increase your opportunity on mature bulls.
